Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a NH or compact license and strong acute care skills for a 13-week evening shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Department has 21 main ER beds and a 6-bed Minor Care (Fast Track) area
• Patient population encompasses triage, minor emergencies, trauma and critical care
• Annual ER volume is approximately 33,000 visits
• Minor Emergency Care Unit (MECU) and critical care services provided in the unit
• 12-hour evening shifts with variable start times
• All previous employees must have a 6-month separation from the health system before returning
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from facility
• Role includes working in triage, minor emergency care unit, trauma, and critical care
• Medical exemptions for vaccines will be considered
• First time travelers are not excluded

Requirements

• Active NH or compact state RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the AHA are required
• A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Must have a MA RN license in hand if applicable
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as seasonal flu vaccine are required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Must pass Tele/ECG and medication tests if required by site
