Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in Michigan requiring a current MI RN license and at least two years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

Position is in an Intensive Care Unit in a hospital setting
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract assignment
Cares for critically ill adult patients
Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility
Cannot have been a permanent staff member at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted during the assignment
First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

Active MI RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required (RQI certifications not accepted)
COVID vaccination card required
Must provide Social Security number and date of birth for consideration

Cons

I have never worked anywhere that runs like this facility. They have very limited resources in the upper peninsula. The staffing is always short. The nurses normally do a lot of tech work daily very unorganized difficult to complete tasks because of the way the unit is run. The people are great, but I don’t see any improvement here for a very long time
