Description

Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for night shifts in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position based in the PACU of a hospital setting
Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00pm to 7:30am
Weekend shifts included, schedule rotates Sunday through Saturday
Floating required within Pre- and Post-Op departments based on competency
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
Must be able to care for patients recovering from surgery, including those with telemetry and ventilator needs
All employees are required to have the flu vaccine
All colors and patterns of scrubs are acceptable, with optional periwinkle OR scrubs provided after up to 2 weeks
RTO is limited to 3 days per 13-week contract, with 7 days allowed between primary and extension contracts
Travelers are expected to work a full week around any requested time off

Requirements

Active DC RN license in hand
Current BLS certification required
ACLS and PALS certifications required prior to start
At least 2 years of telemetry and vent experience with PACU, or a combination including ICU or high-acuity ED
Minimum of one prior travel assignment completed
