Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care experience and active ARRT (CT) certification for a night shift role.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care setting within the CT department
• Department operates two Canon CT scanners: 16 slice and 80 slice
• Typical studies include brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, angio, cryoablation, biopsies, and drainage
• Average daily volume is 85-100 CT scans
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM, with every other weekend required
• First to float as needed within scope of practice
• Documentation is via Cerner EMR, Radnet, and Merge PACS
• Scrub color is teal
• CT Technologist is not responsible for starting IVs; this is handled by nurses
• Orientation is conducted by the lead or senior technologist
• Dress code requires teal scrubs
• Must be available to work one major and one minor holiday during assignment
• Assignment is 13 weeks in length
• Lead technologist and radiologist available for support
• No standby or on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active ARRT certification, ARRT (CT), and California CRT required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care environment
• License required if applicable
• Experience operating Canon CT equipment preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Copy of valid driver’s license required for consideration
