Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of acute care CT experience for a Level II trauma setting; license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital CT department with Level II trauma designation
• Work with adult inpatient, outpatient, and ER populations performing CT, CTA, biopsies, stroke imaging, and coronary CTAs
• Average caseload is 45 scans per day
• Department features two Siemens CT scanners (64-slice and 40-slice with fluoro capabilities)
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Primarily night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with every other or every third weekend required; schedule is created by a coordinator and supervisor
• First to float within radiology and to roles as certified, including patient transport and assistance in other departments
• One week unit-specific orientation provided
• Procedures performed include CTA, biopsies, stroke imaging, coronary CTAs, and IR procedures such as drains
• Radiology supervisor or lead tech available on days; radiologist in-house during weekdays, with teleradiology after hours
• Team-oriented environment with supportive and knowledgeable staff
• Must cover holiday shifts per department policy
• Any color scrubs permitted
• May not have been employed (FT, PT, PRN) by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• RTO must be requested up front, with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent CT experience in an acute care setting
• Active ARRT (CT) certification and BLS required
• Active ND state license or Compact (NLC) if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Experience with Siemens CT equipment preferred
• Ability and willingness to start IVs or learn as needed
• References: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, including employment dates and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
