Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN with in-patient case management experience for a pediatric case manager role in a hospital environment, requiring an active RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting covering Pediatric Social Work and all pediatric units including NICU, PICU/PCICU, Oncology, and general pediatric floors
- Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- Floating required to all pediatric units except psychiatric units
- Case management focus on in-patient pediatric and complex discharge planning
- Experience with post-acute referral platforms such as NaviHealth or AllScripts required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Primary responsibilities include case management, discharge planning, and coordination with post-acute care providers
- No pediatric-specific experience required, but strong case manager credentials are essential
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting multiple pediatric units
- No special restrictions for local candidates except as otherwise noted for certain facilities
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience and current in-patient case management experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience in facilities with 500+ bed count required
- Bedside nursing experience, preferably at least 5 years
- ICU experience preferred but not required
- Case management certification preferred
