Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of current CT experience, ARRT(CT) certification, and NM state licensure for a 12-hour night shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT/X-ray department
• Patient population includes those needing computerized tomographic radiographs
• Floating between departments and locations within 20 miles is required
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday
• Uses Epic EMR, with previous Epic experience preferred
• Perform and review CT procedures for clinical appropriateness, prioritizing exams effectively
• Maintain effective communication during critical situations
• Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures is expected
• No local candidates are allowed; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Return perm staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• Agency must ensure dosimeter badges are properly provided, replaced, and monitored

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current CT technologist experience required
• High school diploma or GED required
• BLS certification from AHA, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute required
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• NM state license required
• Proficiency in performing CT scans according to established protocols
• Use of a dosimeter badge to monitor radiation exposure is mandatory
