Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of current CT experience, ARRT(CT) certification, and NM state licensure for a 12-hour night shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based CT/X-ray department
- Patient population includes those needing computerized tomographic radiographs
- Floating between departments and locations within 20 miles is required
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday
- Uses Epic EMR, with previous Epic experience preferred
- Perform and review CT procedures for clinical appropriateness, prioritizing exams effectively
- Maintain effective communication during critical situations
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures is expected
- No local candidates are allowed; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Return perm staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Agency must ensure dosimeter badges are properly provided, replaced, and monitored
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years current CT technologist experience required
- High school diploma or GED required
- BLS certification from AHA, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute required
- ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
- NM state license required
- Proficiency in performing CT scans according to established protocols
- Use of a dosimeter badge to monitor radiation exposure is mandatory
