Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Cath Lab RN with a NM or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and at least two years of specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital cardiovascular cath lab environment
• 10-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, four days per week
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Involves working with adult cardiovascular patients in the operating room setting
• Epic EMR experience is preferred, but on-site training is available
• No local candidates are accepted; a minimum 50-mile radius is required
• Provide assessment, care, medication administration, and documentation for cath lab procedures
• Demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Support and assist with procedures, treatments, and emergency interventions as required
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff must wait at least one year before being reconsidered as a traveler
• Failure to pass required testing during orientation will result in termination
• First offer acceptance is expected; multiple offer preferences will not be accommodated

Requirements

• Valid NM or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Minimum two years of recent experience in cardiovascular cath lab or related specialty
• Completion of at least one previous 13-week travel assignment
• Must be willing to undergo Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Testing on-site during orientation, with only one permitted retake
