Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Washington, DC, requiring a DC RN license and strong PACU skills.

Responsibilities

Position is in a third floor PACU unit within a hospital setting
Day and evening shifts available: 4x10s (6:30-17:00 or 9:00-19:30)
No on-call or weekend shifts required
May float to main OR if census requires
All travelers must have a current flu vaccination
Responsibilities include post-anesthesia patient care and management in a high-acuity PACU environment
No weekend or on-call responsibilities
Candidates within 60 miles are subject to local rate rules

Requirements

Active DC RN license required (pending accepted if in process, must be active before start date)
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of general PACU experience required, including blood product administration, infection control, specimen handling, and PACU procedures
Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
