Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact RN license and CPI certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Emergency Care Center of a hospital setting
- Shift is 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
- 13-week travel assignment
- Care for a diverse emergency patient population
- Must provide copies of current certifications and state nursing license for consideration
- Must not have Canadian SSN
- May be required to manage behavioral health and aggression situations according to facility protocol
Requirements
- Active NC or compact state RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent ER experience required
- Current BLS and CPI certifications required, with additional crisis prevention certifications accepted per facility guidelines
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days in the past 12 months
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Lots of other travelers, nice approachable management that are on the floor in scrubs to help not criticize, updated cerner launch point, staff helps other staff, security is able to protect staff, PD is at hospital
Cons
Charge is only available to help with traumas otherwise they sit at their desk, techs assign pts to ER rooms making very heavy patient loads with multiple traumas with other nurse assignments being very light, not enough policies to protect nurses from verbal and physical violence from patients
