Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a critical need Labor & Delivery position in California requiring an active CA RN license and strong high-risk OB skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Provides care to laboring mothers, including high-risk OB cases
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Team provides care for both standard and high-risk laboring patients
• Travelers and local candidates are both accepted at the same pay rate
• Assignment is subject to HR tenure policy limiting employment to two years without a 90-day break
• Must submit required documentation and certifications for consideration

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum one year of recent (within the past 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
• Preferred: Five or more years of recent (within last two years) Labor & Delivery experience
• Preferred: One year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the past two years
• High-risk OB experience is preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth for consideration
