Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position in California, requiring a current CA RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Emergency Department (ER) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (18:00 – 6:30)
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state if required
- Patient population includes emergency and trauma cases across all acuity levels
- Epic EMR is required for documentation
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
- All travelers must be willing to float between facilities as needed
- Requested time off must be submitted during application, and post-submittal requests may be denied
- Minimal to no time off is permitted for this contract
- Assignment requires adherence to all onboarding and vaccination requirements including COVID and Flu
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Travel pairs are not accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active and current CA RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience required
- Current certifications required (details not specified in posting)
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
