Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring 2 years of recent L&D experience and current TN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting within a Labor and Delivery unit
• Primary nurse-patient ratio of 1:2 for labor and 1:8 for postpartum/couplets
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Requires working every other weekend or two weekends per month
• On-call required for two shifts per six-week schedule period
• Floating to other units is required
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum phases
• Holiday or holiday week time off requests will not be accommodated; any such requests must be addressed on site via the RTO form
• Travelers participate in a bi-weekly orientation
• First time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), AWHONN, NIHSS, and NRP
