Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in New York with a night shift schedule and Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shifts, 4x12 hours per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient population includes med/surg and telemetry cases
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement
• Core responsibilities include providing direct nursing care and monitoring on a combined Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start date
• A maximum of 3 called-off shifts are allowed per 13-week assignment, including any shifts where placed on-call
• Holiday and weekend shift coverage may be required
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Candidates who were previously employed at the facility must have at least a 1-year gap before reapplying
