Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team with ultrasound-guided IV skills and pediatric vascular access experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
- Care for pediatric through adult patients requiring IV access
- Responsible for ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder technology
- Shifts rotate between day and night, including 7 AM-7:30 PM, 11 AM-11:30 PM, and 3 PM-3:30 AM, with day/night rotation required
- Weekend work is required as part of the schedule
- Documentation is completed using Epic EMR
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Scrubs must be a solid color; OR scrubs are provided, SPT any color not provided
- Parking is provided at discounted rates; free for night shifts
- Local candidates are accepted with a rate adjustment within 50 miles of the facility
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric vascular access team experience required, such as HemeOnc or ICU
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement and vein finder experience required
