Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric RN with chemotherapy/oncology experience and a valid NJ or compact RN license for a hospital-based contract.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a general pediatrics unit with hem/onc, ortho, and surgical patients
• May float to PICU and NICU as appropriate to skills and hospital needs
• Typical patient ratio is 1:5
• Day shift schedule with four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00–19:30)
• Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Must have experience in general pediatrics
• Will be required to float to higher intensity units based on need and skill
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Navy scrubs required for this position
• Former RWJBH staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Block or special scheduling not accommodated unless approved at booking

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric RN experience
• Chemotherapy/oncology experience is required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON, NRP, and OCN certifications preferred
