Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg Tele assignment requiring MO or Compact license, EPIC experience, and oncology patient care.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of an acute care hospital
• Care for medical, surgical, and oncology patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios typically 1:5-6
• Use EPIC for charting; EPIC experience is required
• Floating within scope is required to meet facility needs
• Required to work two shifts every other weekend; night shift weekend coverage may be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Navy scrubs must be worn
• No on-call required
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off allowed in the first week of orientation
• Holiday coverage expected as scheduled
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months before a required 3-month break
• Parking is provided at no cost

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required; pending license accepted
• Minimum of 2 years' RN experience in Med/Surg or Tele required
• BCLS, NIH, and Fire Safety certifications required
• EPIC charting experience required
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 75 miles from facility
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
