Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health position requiring a NJ or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Caring for pediatric patients with psychiatric diagnoses including MDD, GAD, DMDD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, adjustment and personality disorders, and developmental disorders such as ASD, ID, or DD
- Uses Epic charting system
- Responsibilities include providing nursing care to children and adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric and developmental disorders
- First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- Candidates who have worked for the RWJBH health system must have been separated for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Prior experience with pediatric and/or behavioral health nursing preferred

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay.
