Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night ICU position in Massachusetts that requires a MA RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 38-bed multi-specialty Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Patient population includes critically ill and complex cases
• Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Telemetry skills required with ability to independently read and interpret rhythm strips
• Provide intensive and compassionate care for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with a dedicated nursing team to deliver top-quality care
• Responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education
• Coordinate and delegate care activities with inter-professional colleagues
• Document and manage patient records accurately using computerized software
• Physical ability required to meet job responsibilities
• Monthly parking fees may apply
• Professional reference from a manager within the last 12 months is required for consideration
• Prefer at least one reference from a recent travel assignment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be current
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting required
• Nursing degree required: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia (telemetry) test on day 1
