Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring rapid response team experience and an active MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU with adult patients
• Common cases include sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, DKA, and cardiogenic shock
• Night shift schedule, working 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• RN to patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity cases
• EPIC charting system is used
• Attendings and residents are present in the ICU 24/7
• Must provide rapid response care to ICU patients
• Parking may require out-of-pocket costs; public transportation and public parking available
• Local candidates must live more than 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital for standard rate eligibility
• Floating may be required for day rotators, but not for night shifts
• Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos
• Scrub/dress code policies will be provided upon hire

Requirements

• Active MA RN license is required with no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum of 3 years ICU RN experience required
• At least 2 years of continuous ICU experience at one location, preferably in a MICU
• Previous experience on a rapid response team required
• Ability to read telemetry strips is required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA are required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
