Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit night shift position requiring at least one year of acute care experience and an IN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital Medical Surgical unit with remote telemetry monitoring
32-bed unit with patients receiving telemetry only if ordered and 24/7 monitoring
Patient population includes stable vent and Bipap patients, acute/chronic renal failure, dialysis, fluid overload, and general med/surg cases
IV drips include constant rate dopamine (non-titrating) for renal perfusion and heparin
Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Uses the Cerner EMR system in the unit
Responsible for managing care of diverse med/surg patient population including those with renal and respiratory needs
Some patients may require dialysis or Bipap care
Telemetry is monitored by dedicated staff around the clock
No orientation hours provided for this assignment

Requirements

Active IN or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1 year recent acute care RN experience
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Pros

Sebrona was so helpful and quick to respond. She is kind and patient. She was able to get me the job I wanted with excellent pay. After she done her part she continued to check in with me to see how the compliance part was going. I felt comfortable with asking her questions even though it wasn’t the department she worked in. She would reach out to others and get the answer or be sure they contacted me.
