Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with current CA licensure and ARRT certification for a night shift assignment managing diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT department
• Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Night shift schedule of Friday through Monday, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM (4x10 hours)
• Duties include performing quality CT studies and assisting with CT-guided procedures
• Utilizes PACS for image transmission, archiving, and retrieval
• Performs protocol-driven CT scanning, assists physicians, and documents care in the EHR
• Educates and prepares patients of all ages for CT procedures
• Adheres to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
• 50 mile radius rule applies
• Return staff policy requires 1 year away before returning as a traveler
• Only one holiday request for time off will be approved
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Proficiency with multiple computerized systems expected

Requirements

• Current CA Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
• ARRT (R), ARRT (CT), and IV Certification required upon hire
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
• Radiology Fluoroscopy permit within 180 days of hire
• Graduation from an approved School of Radiologic Technology or Associate’s in Radiologic Sciences
• Minimum of 2 years experience required in CT, preferably in an acute care setting
• Proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety, venipuncture, and contrast medication administration
