Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU position with a strong cardiac focus and the ability to independently interpret telemetry rhythm strips.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a critical care ICU setting with a strong cardiac focus and occasional MICU overflow patients
- 17-bed unit with average nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
- 12-hour night shifts required
- Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
- EPIC is the EMR used and experience is preferred
- Duties include providing advanced care to critically ill cardiac and overflow medical ICU patients
- Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test must be passed, with only two attempts allowed
- Monthly parking fees apply; more information available through the employer
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- One reference is preferred from the most recent travel assignment and references from other travelers are not accepted
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience required
- Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience required
- Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Must pass a telemetry test on day 1
- Preferred: EPIC experience and CCRN certification
- Two professional references required, with one from a manager-level or above
- References must include a recent performance evaluation, with at least one within the past 12 months
