Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in trauma and emergency imaging for overnight shifts at a 166-bed community hospital.

Responsibilities

• Work in a community hospital setting with three CT scanners: GE Optima, Siemens Force, and GE Ascend (in the Emergency Department)
• Approximately 75% of cases are from the emergency department, 20% inpatient, and 5% outpatient
• Frequent stroke and trauma cases as well as scans of the brain, abdomen, pelvis, chest, and miscellaneous trauma from head to foot
• Must be flexible to perform X-ray exams if required
• Overnight schedule from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Opportunity for on-site physician skills sign-off for IV/injection certification
• Must be prepared for high volume of ER and trauma imaging
• Local candidates allowed within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate
• Hospital scrubs or dress code information not specified

Requirements

• Current NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license (license required if applicable)
• ARRT (R) and (CT) certification
• NYS IV/Injection Certification or willingness to complete cert course and apply for NYDOH BERT certification
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Two recent professional references from prior managers in current discipline
