Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of CT and x-ray experience, current ARRT and California licensure, for night shifts.

Responsibilities

Position is based in a hospital CT unit
Performs both CT and x-ray exams as part of daily responsibilities
Night shift schedule: Friday and Saturday from 8:00 PM–8:00 AM, Sunday from 8:15 PM–8:15 AM
Works independently from 12:00 AM–7:30 AM, with staff support during orientation and on-call technologist available during those hours
Travelers may float to other locations within the system if census is low
Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
Performs routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality diagnostic images
Expected to gain patient confidence through competent assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding privacy and safety
Average 1–5 hours of non-billable online modules during orientation
Modules completed through e-learning and tracked during orientation
Return staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
Only one holiday request for time off will be approved
Must be available to complete lab work within 3–5 days of signing
50-mile travel radius requirement applies

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in CT and x-ray
Current ARRT (R) certification
BLS certification from AHA required
California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required
Fluoroscopy permit required
Must have all certifications and valid state license in hand at time of consideration
License required if applicable
