Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a DC license, 2 years of L&D experience, and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital labor and delivery unit
• Care for pregnant patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery, including scheduled procedures and triage
• Unit activities include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and both vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Uses fetal monitors and electronic documentation systems, including Cerner and Fetalink
• Day shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for patients needing C-sections, external cephalic versions, cerclage, and triage evaluation
• Documentation is completed in Cerner and Fetalink
• Position requires CPI certification
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled
• Scrub or dress code information not specified
• Candidates must live more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience in a US hospital
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring
• Cerner experience required
• Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Candidate must provide SSN, date of birth, driver’s license, and all current certifications for consideration
• No pending licenses accepted
