Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with renal experience for night shifts, requiring a SC or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit with a focus on renal patients
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Patient ratios typically 1:6-7
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to other Med/Surg units as needed
• Uses Epic EMR
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Responsible for providing nursing care to medical-surgical and renal patient populations
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Free parking is available on site
• Must complete online modules prior to start, averaging 4 hours
• All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to offer and will be considered based on facility needs
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Previous perm staff (including PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
