Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform quality imaging and CT-guided procedures across multiple shifts in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT department serving neonatal through geriatric populations
• Shifts are evening (4x10 hours, 13:30–21:30) and night (4x10 hours, 00:00–08:00), including weekends
• Perform CT scans and assist with CT-guided procedures
• Use PACS for digital image archiving and retrieval
• Responsible for imaging, documentation, and accurate charge capture
• Perform and coordinate CT examinations according to physician protocols
• Administer contrast media and medications safely, including venipuncture
• Assess and educate patients before procedures, addressing concerns and questions
• Work with high-risk and critically ill patients across all age groups
• Document care accurately in the EHR and ensure quality image transmission and storage
• Expected to be available for lab work within 3–5 days of signing contract
• Only one holiday off will be approved per contract
• Acute care facility experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• Graduation from a Joint Commission-approved School of Radiologic Technology or an Associate’s in Radiologic Sciences
• Current CA CRT license and ARRT (R) and (CT) certifications required
• IV certification and BLS required upon hire
• Radiology Fluoroscopy license required within 180 days of hire
• Must be proficient in cross-sectional anatomy and technical imaging factors
• Experience with PACS and multiple computerized systems required
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
• Must comply with a 50-mile radius rule
• Return travelers must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
• License required if applicable
