Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in emergency and trauma imaging with NYS licensure and ARRT (R)(CT) certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 166-bed community hospital with three CT scanners: GE Optima, Siemens Force, and GE Ascend (in the ED)
• Majority of scans are for ER patients (75%), with additional inpatient (20%) and outpatient (5%) cases
• Case types include stroke, trauma, and imaging from head to foot including brain, abdomen, pelvis, and chest
• Must be flexible to perform X-ray exams if needed
• Night shift schedule from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Will be responsible for imaging acute ER, trauma, and inpatient cases using multiple scanner models
• Occasional coverage for X-ray duties may be required depending on departmental needs
• Internal modules must be completed prior to starting assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate within a 60-mile radius
• Candidates with prior work history at affiliated facilities may be subject to an eligibility review process
• Scrub color or dress code information not specified

Requirements

• Valid NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license (license required if applicable)
• Current ARRT (R)(CT) certification
• NYS IV/Injection Certification or willingness to complete required certification and skills sign off
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Ability to provide two recent professional references in current discipline
• Previous experience performing CT imaging in an emergency or trauma setting preferred
