Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist (CAT Scan Tech) with at least one year of experience and an active Maryland license for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a dedicated CT scanner department with a focus on performing CT imaging procedures
- Day shifts scheduled Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Position involves direct interaction with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff
- Supports procedures such as biopsies and drainage under physician guidance
- Duties include counseling patients, obtaining consent for IV injections, positioning patients, and operating scanning equipment
- Candidates must be comfortable assisting physicians with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainage
- Patient interaction and multidisciplinary teamwork are essential parts of this role
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, except for specific hospital exceptions
- Scrub or dress code policies will be provided by the facility
Requirements
- Active Maryland license required if applicable
- Registered Radiologic Technologist certification (ARRT) required
- Current CPR certification required
- Completion of two years of occupationally specific education or an Associate’s degree in radiology technology required
- At least 1 year of CT technologist experience required
- Experience in facilities with 500+ bed count strongly preferred
