Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a multi-specialty ICU position in Massachusetts requiring a current MA license, advanced cardiac certifications, and strong telemetry skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 38-bed multi-specialty ICU in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes critically ill adults requiring intensive care and telemetry monitoring
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week), every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Telemetry rhythm strip interpretation required
- Uses computerized patient record systems
- Level 1 Trauma hospital environment
- Provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, and intervention for critically ill ICU patients
- Collaborate closely with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Document care and interpret computerized data and patient information
- Involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the unit
- Scrub attire details not specified; inquire during onboarding
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Active MA RN license at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience
- Telemetry experience and ability to independently interpret rhythm strips required
- Minimum 18 months of ICU experience in a trauma setting required
- Diploma, ASN or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) with only two attempts permitted
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to perform job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Two professional references required, including one from a manager, with at least one reference within the past 12 months
