Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of acute care and emergency department experience and ARRT (R), BLS, and NY State License required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a community hospital setting on the CT and X-Ray unit
• Adult acute care, adult outpatient, and emergency department patient populations
• Perform both basic X-ray exams (chest, abdomen, extremities, etc.) and CT exams (routine head, chest, abdomen/pelvis, CTAs of head/carotid, and PE studies)
• Day shift schedule with 5x8 hour shifts from 10:00 to 18:00
• Some portable X-ray work required
• Patients are primarily from the ED and inpatients, with a few outpatient exams during the day
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Scrub color is flexible and any color is acceptable
• All requests for time off must be approved by the manager
• Care for patients primarily from the ED and inpatient settings, with occasional outpatient exams

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist in acute care and emergency settings
• Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS required
• Active NY State License required if applicable
• ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
• Experience with adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency department environments
• Proficiency in portable X-ray procedures
• Experience with a wide range of X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, lower and upper extremities
