Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Nephrology Telemetry position requiring a MO or compact RN license and BCLS and NIH certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital on the Telemetry Unit
• Specializes in nephrology telemetry patient population
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend required for day or night shift
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within hospital and affiliated hospitals as needed
• EPIC is the charting system and experience with EPIC is required
• Peritoneal dialysis experience is needed
• Provide care for nephrology telemetry patients including peritoneal dialysis
• Required to complete compliance modules prior to start date
• Navy scrubs are required while on duty
• No local candidates within 75 miles accepted
• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off allowed in the first week
• All standard travelers can remain for up to 18 months and must take a 3 month break afterwards
• Free parking is available
• Facial hair must be suitable for fit testing

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• 1-2 years of recent telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Current BCLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with peritoneal dialysis required
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
• First time travelers are accepted
• Pending MO license accepted for consideration
• Candidates who were permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
