Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 18 months experience in both peripheral vascular and neuro interventional radiology, with BLS and ARRT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Level I trauma hospital within a cath/interventional radiology lab setting
• 4 IR rooms equipped with Siemens single plane and biplane c-arms
• Two technologists assigned per room, rotating between circulating and scrubbing roles
• Day shifts (4x10 hours) from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required every third or fourth weekend, from Friday evening to Monday morning
• Care for critically ill adult patients requiring vascular and neuro interventional procedures
• Floating within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals is required
• Cerner EMR is used
• Perform a variety of vascular and neuro interventional procedures such as embolizations, IVC filter placements, thrombectomies, and central line insertions
• Must work two out of three major holidays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Allied and surgical services local candidates are accepted
• A break of 12 months required for former permanent or PRN employees before returning as a traveler
• Travelers' university must be ACEN or CCNE accredited at graduation
• Up to five days of non-holiday requested time off are automatically approved; more requires facility approval
• Two supervisor references, date of birth, and SSN required for consideration

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years experience in peripheral and neuro interventional radiology
• Must be proficient in scrubbing and circulating for both peripheral and neuro cases, including angiograms, stents, angioplasty, nephrostomies, and venous access
• BLS certification required (AHA or RQI accepted and current upon consideration)
• ARRT certification required
• Current IN or Compact state license in hand at time of start, if applicable
• Experience with Siemens c-arms preferred
• Ability to work in Level I trauma and stroke environments
• Cerner EMR experience required or willingness to learn
