Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an outpatient imaging facility requiring BLS and ARRT certification, with EPIC EMR experience.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient imaging facility operating on a two-technologist model
- Philips Iqon CT scanner is used; no cardiac imaging performed
- Hours are Monday and Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with every other weekend from 6:00 am to 6:30 pm
- Epic charting system is used and prior experience is preferred
- Primary responsibilities include preparing, setting up, and operating the CT scanner following physician orders and protocols
- Assists patients on and off the scanner and explains exam procedures according to individual needs
- Verifies identification and ensures all imaging records are appropriately documented and archived
- Ensures images are transmitted and labeled correctly for PACS
- Maintains facility order and stays current on departmental procedures and policies
- Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions permitted
- Parking may require use of public transportation or paid lots
- Local candidates living within 60 miles are eligible with a 5% lower rate
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography or Radiography is required
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
- Massachusetts state radiologic technologist license required if applicable (no conditional licenses allowed)
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
