Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring an active MI RN license and proficiency in Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three days per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Must be available for at least one holiday during the assignment
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• EMR system used is Cerner and experience is required
• Lead and coordinate delivery of high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care
• Utilize nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Participate in team communication and ensure patient goals are met
• Orientation includes online modules completed onsite prior to start date
• Requests for up to one week of time off may be submitted initially, and further requests require discussion after assignment begins
• Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screening processing

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to deliver professional nursing care in an ICU
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare team
• Must complete online modules with a passing score prior to start
• COVID vaccine is mandatory
