Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a TN or compact RN license and recent EPIC EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns
• Special procedures include triage assessments, inductions, cesareans, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation/stabilization, and magnesium sulfate administration
• Use of Epic EMR system with minimum one year of prior experience required
• Floating to other units is required based on skill set
• Weekend coverage and on-call are required
• Perform comprehensive nursing care including triage, labor support, newborn stabilization, and assisting with a range of deliveries
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary perinatal team
• Must provide coverage for scheduled weekends and holidays as assigned
• Required to have two professional references available for consideration
• Scrub color or dress code specifics will be provided upon hire

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required
• At least two years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Minimum one year of recent experience using EPIC EMR
• Will not consider first-time travelers
• Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any related facility to be eligible at the travel rate; 50+ miles required for night shift eligibility
