Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of mammography and interventional competency for a Level 1 trauma hospital.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Breast Imaging section of a hospital recognized as a Level 1 trauma center
- Perform both diagnostic and screening mammography as well as breast ultrasound procedures
- Include ultrasound and mammographic-guided breast interventions and bone densitometry exams
- Assigned to a 13-week contract with 10-hour day/evening shifts on a rotating schedule
- Rotational schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
- Primary duties include performing a variety of multimodality breast imaging procedures in a collaborative team environment
- Role involves interaction with staff, supervisors, clinicians, and other departments as needed
- One reference should be from the most recent travel or temporary assignment if possible
- Must comply with scrub and dress code as specified by the facility
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography or similar setting
- Competency in interventional breast imaging required
- Breast ultrasound competency preferred
- Active MA State license in Radiography and Mammography required if applicable
- Current ARRT (R) and (M), ARRT (BS) or RDMS (BR), and BLS certification required
- Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital is required
- Two professional references, with at least one from a manager-level contact, required for consideration
