Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring both L&D and Mother Baby experience and comfort working with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit with LDRP responsibilities
• Care for patients in both Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Floating between L&D and Mother Baby units is required
• Care may include patients from the prison population
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
• Candidates may be required to float between assigned units as needed
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent L&D and Mother Baby nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI), NIHSS, AWHONN, and NRP
• Comfortable working with prison populations
