Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team with pediatric vascular access and ultrasound-guided IV placement skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
• Care provided to both pediatric and some adult patients requiring vascular access
• Requires experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder equipment
• Shifts rotate between days, evenings, and overnights (7am-7:30pm, 11am-11:30pm, 3pm-3:30am)
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Responsibilities include ultrasound-guided IV access for pediatric and some adult patients
• Work in a Level I Trauma and NICU Level III/IV environment
• Any solid color scrubs permitted; operating room scrubs are provided
• Parking options include discounted day passes and free night shift parking with shuttle service available
• Holiday and weekend coverage expected per unit requirements

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with pediatric vascular access
• Experience with IV therapy and advanced IV placement skills required
• Pediatric VAS experience in settings such as HemeOnc or ICU required
• BLS certification required
• Experience on a pediatric vascular access team required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted with rate differential if within 50 miles
