Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team with pediatric vascular access and ultrasound-guided IV placement skills required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
- Care provided to both pediatric and some adult patients requiring vascular access
- Requires experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder equipment
- Shifts rotate between days, evenings, and overnights (7am-7:30pm, 11am-11:30pm, 3pm-3:30am)
- Every other weekend shifts required
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Responsibilities include ultrasound-guided IV access for pediatric and some adult patients
- Work in a Level I Trauma and NICU Level III/IV environment
- Any solid color scrubs permitted; operating room scrubs are provided
- Parking options include discounted day passes and free night shift parking with shuttle service available
- Holiday and weekend coverage expected per unit requirements
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with pediatric vascular access
- Experience with IV therapy and advanced IV placement skills required
- Pediatric VAS experience in settings such as HemeOnc or ICU required
- BLS certification required
- Experience on a pediatric vascular access team required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Locals accepted with rate differential if within 50 miles
