Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team with pediatric vascular access and ultrasound-guided IV placement skills required.

Details

Work in a Magnet-designated acute care hospital on the Pediatric IV Therapy Vascular Access Team
Care provided to both pediatric and some adult patients requiring vascular access
Requires experience with ultrasound-guided IV placement and use of vein finder equipment
Shifts rotate between days, evenings, and overnights (7am-7:30pm, 11am-11:30pm, 3pm-3:30am)
Every other weekend shifts required
Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

Active MA RN license required
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with pediatric vascular access
Experience with IV therapy and advanced IV placement skills required
Pediatric VAS experience in settings such as HemeOnc or ICU required
BLS certification required
Experience on a pediatric vascular access team required
First-time travelers accepted
Locals accepted with rate differential if within 50 miles

Additional Information

Responsibilities include ultrasound-guided IV access for pediatric and some adult patients
Work in a Level I Trauma and NICU Level III/IV environment
Any solid color scrubs permitted; operating room scrubs are provided
Parking options include discounted day passes and free night shift parking with shuttle service available
Holiday and weekend coverage expected per unit requirements
