Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong scrub and circulate skills along with Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours, 7:00am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday
• Mandatory weekend and on-call rotations are required
• Cases include General, Ortho, Spine, Thoracic, and Urology surgeries
• Must be proficient in infection control, blood product/cell saver handling, specimen labeling/handling, wound management, universal protocol, and radiation/laser/fire safety
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Must provide proof of vaccination status; declinations are not permitted
• Smoke-free facility
• Locals within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a lower pay rate
• Orientation includes study guide and tips for passing required assessments
• Must wear scrubs as per hospital policy
• First-time travelers are not restricted from consideration

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC, and NIH certification required
• Degree from an accredited school or an FBON-approved institution plus two years recent acute care experience
• Minimum two years of recent consecutive Operating Room nursing experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Experience in both scrub and circulate roles is mandatory
• Must pass facility-required EKG/dysrhythmia testing
