Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position requiring NCC EFM certification and advanced perinatal skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level IV Perinatal Center on a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit
- Patient population includes high-risk mother and babies
- Unit has 6 triage rooms, 10 labor & delivery rooms, 3 operating rooms, and 3 PACU beds
- Floating as needed to L&D, antepartum, postpartum, nursery, and mother/baby areas
- Uses Epic (inpatient & Stork) EMR, experience required
- Rotating shifts: 7A-7P
- Responsible for comprehensive care of high-risk laboring patients, including performing NSTs
- Must maintain valid NCC-EFM certification per hospital insurer requirements
- Will participate in care within a multidisciplinary team in a Level IV Perinatal Center
- Must adhere to scrub or dress code requirements of the unit
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, except for certain hospitals with a 60-mile radius rule
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Minimum of two years of current high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA, Red Cross, or recognized international affiliate), NRP Advanced Provider, and STABLE
- NCC fetal monitoring (EFM) certification required; AWHONN is not accepted
- Experience in a comparable facility with 500+ bed count required
