Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and valid ARRT-R and BLS certifications for a busy Level I trauma teaching hospital.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting with Level I adult and pediatric trauma and teaching hospital designation
- Department serves 350-400 patients per day across ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients
- Patient population includes both adults and pediatrics, covering a full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
- Uses Shimadzu RadSpeed general rad room, Intelli-C multipurpose, Konica and Shimadzu portables, GE and Siemens R/F rooms
- EMR: Epic, experience preferred
- 8-hour night shift, Monday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend position requiring all weekends
- Call schedule is shared equitably among the team
- No floating required
- 13-week contract; assigned to the same shift per contract
- Responsibilities include performing diagnostic radiology procedures for diverse patient populations
- Support from lead techs, modality supervisors, and Imaging Managers; collaborative team culture
- Five-day departmental orientation provided with flexibility based on traveler needs
- Black scrubs required for technologists
- Travelers are expected to assist with holiday coverage unless time off is approved in advance
- Free teammate parking available
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Manager approval required for time off
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent radiology technologist experience
- Current ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented attitude
- License required if applicable
