Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position requiring a NC or compact RN license and current specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Care Center (ER) within an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift position from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week travel contract assignment
• Position specifically excludes local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Responsible for providing emergency nursing care and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team
• Night shift schedule covers weekends and potential holidays as part of department needs
• No local applicants will be considered due to the 50-mile radius rule
• First time travelers may be eligible if all requirements are met

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
• AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications must be current and not expiring within 30 days of start
• CPI certification required for all ER positions (SAMA, MAB, or ACPMA accepted as alternatives)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required
• NIH Stroke certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past year
• Valid US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional references required per state-specific requirements
