Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with current ARRT(CT) and BLS certification for night shifts in a hospital CT department.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based CT Scan department
• Night shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week
• Patient population includes adults and those requiring acute care
• Procedures involve diagnostic CT imaging using ionizing radiation and contrast administration as applicable
• Must be able to operate and maintain CT equipment and related information systems
• Uses EPIC for charting
• Responsible for producing high quality diagnostic CT images while adhering to department protocols
• Must evaluate images for clarity and ensure all required anatomical structures are captured
• Role includes independent judgment, patient education, and coordination of care with other staff
• Must maintain ARRT competency and stay updated on CT technology advances through continuing education
• Assists and instructs students and newer technologists in protocols and procedures
• Must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible if a former permanent staff member

Requirements

• Active ARRT(CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required
• Radiation badge required; this may be provided by supplier
• Knowledge of sectional anatomy, imaging protocols, and contrast administration required
• Demonstrated ability to review images for quality and to follow safety and infection control standards
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
• License required if applicable
