Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience and active ARRT, BLS, and Utah state licensure if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a computed tomography (CT) department
• Work involves performing a variety of CT diagnostic imaging procedures on patients
• Patient population may include adult and geriatric individuals needing CT scans
• Shifts are 10 hours, variable between 7:00 and 22:30, with an evening schedule
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for charting and documentation
• Requires use of ionizing radiation and related CT imaging equipment
• Responsible for accurate patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
• Performs and completes CT studies according to departmental protocols, maintaining high standards for image quality and patient care
• Operates all CT equipment and related systems, including contrast injectors and laser printers
• Follows ALARA principles and radiation safety protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and proper anatomical positioning
• Completes all documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage
• May be required to obtain controlled substance and moderate sedation module certifications post-hire
• Practices strict infection control and sterile technique
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year prior to eligibility for a travel assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year recent CT experience required
• Active ARRT certification is required
• Current Utah state license required if working in Utah (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification through AHA is required and must be valid on start date
• Must meet departmental IV certification competency within 3 months post-hire
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting, manual dexterity, hearing, and vision
• Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) must be used for assignment
