Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Perioperative Circulator for a surgery center position requiring at least one year of acute operating room experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory surgery center setting specializing in perioperative care
• Day shift schedule from 6:30am to 5:00pm, four days per week
• No call, weekend, or holiday shifts required
• Eye surgery experience is preferred but not required
• Responsible for direct and indirect nursing care of patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures
• Accountable for evaluation and documentation of all care components in the perioperative setting
• Must effectively individualize patient care based on patient health status and specific procedures
• Expected to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary perioperative team
• First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oklahoma or compact (eNLC) RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year recent experience in an acute operating room environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Familiarity with AORN standards required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
