Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a TN or compact RN license and a strong cardiac background.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiac Specialty Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00–07:30
- Patient ratio typically 1:7–8, with possible use of a team nursing model for higher ratios
- Float to other units as needed
- Every other weekend or two weekends per month required
- Bi-weekly orientation provided
- No on-call responsibilities
- Work in a telemetry environment with focus on cardiac specialties
- Must accommodate holiday and holiday week coverage, as RTO requests during these periods will not be approved
- Travelers wishing for holiday time off must coordinate directly with the manager upon arrival
- Position may involve a team nursing approach with support from colleagues
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years telemetry RN experience
- Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start date
- ACLS certification preferred
