Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a WA or compact license, ACLS and BLS certifications, and at least one year of ICU experience for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is typically 1:2, with adjustment based on acuity for CCU downgrades
• Assignment consists of 3x12 hour night shifts from 18:00 to 06:30
• Every other weekend shift is required
• Uses Epic for charting
• Floating between like units and all facilities within the state is expected
• No on-call responsibilities
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Former permanent staff must wait at least three months before returning as travelers and cannot apply if living within 50 miles
• Travelers may be required to float between facilities across the state
• Support and training provided during orientation

Requirements

• Current WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum one year of ICU RN experience
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the last three years in a comparable unit
• Epic experience required
• Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
