Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a busy stroke center, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and current ARRT R and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based CT department specializing in interventional procedures and stroke care
• Work with adult acute care and outpatient populations
• Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, chest, and head exams with and without contrast, as well as interventional procedures such as drains and biopsies
• Utilizes Philips, GE, Siemens, and Toshiba CT equipment, with Philips experience preferred
• Uses Medrad injector and PACS imaging systems
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Day shift schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
• Call required two weekends per month
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Duties include prepping and administering contrast media, starting IVs, and following isolation precautions
• Work in a team environment within a stroke center specializing in acute imaging needs
• First-time travelers are accepted
• No more than 1 week of requested time off is permitted per contract
• Expect to work scheduled holidays if they fall within regular shifts
• Scrubs are provided or staff may wear appropriate personal attire

Requirements

• Valid ARRT R and BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year CT technologist experience
• Experience with Philips, GE, Siemens, and Toshiba CT scanners preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Competency in starting peripheral IVs and administering IV contrast
• Ability to perform procedures involving multiple body areas and trauma cases
• License required if applicable
